Farm Animal Bean Bags

The week before Christmas I had tons of things I still needed to make as Christmas gifts and made something every night!  I totally procrastinated.  It was crazy and hectic, but also fun and now I have lots of fun posts for the blog!  I'm excited to share them all with you!

The first thing I have for you are the super cute

Farm Animal Bean Bags!

Bean bags are always fun for toddlers, but I thought it would be even better to add farm animal faces and my creative husband (as I mentioned earlier it is his birthday today!) made a cute barn from cardboard to throw the bean bags in.

I started by making basic bean bags from fleece and beans by sewing squares and filling them about half way with the beans then sewing them shut.

After making the bean bags (I made 6), I made the animal faces using:

felt
googly eyes
permanent marker
fabric glue

I just found some cartoon farm faces on google images to get an idea of how they looked.  The animals I made are a:

pig
sheep
duck
mouse
chicken
cow

And Bammer loves them!  Yesterday she grabbed the sheep and said, "Hello sheep!"  It's a great way for her to learn farm animal names and sounds.

  3. What fun bean bags! I'm guessing these are to play with and not to throw! Very cute idea.
